Regional Commercial Manager

**The Opportunity**

The Regional Commercial Manager manages all the Southern Region's commercial, financial and administrative areas (Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania). This role supports the Regional Management Team, Branch Managers and Head Office, focusing on the key drivers of the business to ensure strategic plans are met.

**More specifically, your responsibilities will include**:

- Providing comprehensive commercial advice and building a solid commercial culture to ensure the business is efficient, effective and profitable.
- Ensure the business achieves strategic financial goals by analysing the performance of all areas of the company, advising the RGM and RMT of underperforming areas implementing improvements where necessary.
- Financial administration, including commercial procedures, strategies and contract evaluation.
- Preparation of all financial and management accounting requirements required by the company and in a manner required by professional accounting standards.
- Maintain the accuracy of Fixed Asset Records, ensuring the protection of company assets.
- Manage the business planning process and develop strategic plans. This includes coordinating and preparing the annual Southern Region budget, ongoing forecasts and monitoring financial results of the branches and departments against the budget to ensure variations are addressed.
- Effective administration and coordination of the region ensuring leasing/property, insurance, legal and company policy and procedures are met. This includes reviewing all sales tenders and rental agreements to ensure they are commercially viable and meet corporate requirements.
- Ensure the business meets its corporate compliance responsibilities and maintains the business risk management protocols.

**Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Qualified in Business, Accounting, Commerce, or relevant degree
- 5 + years of experience in a similar position
- Membership in ICAA or CPA (Desirable)
- Working knowledge of SAP (Desirable)
- Working and practical knowledge of financial and management accounting
- Knowledge of financial reporting and tax compliance in accordance with local legislation
- Highly analytical with keen attention to detail
- Demonstrates initiative to challenge the status quo and drive process improvements.
