**About the role**

A unique opportunity to provide support to a gentleman that needs support for community access and take him to his therapy appointment. You will maintain a professional relationship with the participant and his family. You will have a kind and caring nature with eager willingness to demonstrate support to people living with a disability.
- Casual Hourly rate for the role is $ 34.01 per hour._
- Schedule: Tues 9:30 - 11:45 and Thursday 10:30 - 12:45_

**What a normal day would look like**
- Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of Participants.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to support Participants in their daily routines.
- Develop meaningful and professional relationships with Participants and families.
- Assist with all manual handling and toileting, showers, meals, medication, cleaning and other tasks as required.
- Support daily planning, advocacy, communication and transport in community settings.

**Experience - about you**
- Must have experience with Mental Health and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly active listening.
- Ability to perform all physical assistance required with domestic duties and meal preparation.

**Qualifications required**
- A minimum certificate III, diploma or qualification in disability or relevant area such as aged care, community services, or health.
- Must have a QLD driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Experience in managing CPAP and Catheter care
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- COVID 19 Infection Control certificate (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (2 doses required)
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
