**About us**

Victim Services, Support and Reform (VSSR) is a part of the Service Delivery Reform, Coordination and Workplace Safety Division of the Department of Justice and Community Safety and is responsible for coordinating a suite of services for victims of crime including funding state-wide services to provide eligible victims with practical assistance, counselling and support through the justice system as well as operating the Victims of Crime Helpline (Helpline).

**About the role**

Reporting to the Helpline Operations Manager, the Family Violence Practice Lead (FVPL) is responsible for developing and supporting family violence practice across the Helpline team ensuring the delivery and provision of high quality and effective services to Victorian family violence victim-survivors seeking support via the Helpline.

The FVPL will monitor and coordinate the response to L17s, information sharing activities and the implementation of MARAM within the Helpline.

**About you**
- Extensive knowledge and experience in adopting rigorous approaches to intake assessment, referral, and risk assessment activities within a family violence context.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the provision of effective, on-going services to victims of crime and their families informed by organisational guidelines, appropriate theoretical frameworks, and best practice models in direct service delivery.
- Uses knowledge and awareness of issues pertaining to crime victimisation to achieve desired outcomes for victims of crime and system improvement.
- Maintains effective relationships with stakeholders to deliver effective services to victims and receive positive outcomes for victims of crime.
- Extensive knowledge, experience and skills to effectively engage with victim survivors and alleged perpetrators of family violence.
- An intrinsic understanding and awareness of the nature and dynamics of family violence, the legislative context and service system in Victoria.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to effectively develop systems to ensure victim support services are prepared to respond to critical incidents of crime.

**How to apply**

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**:
The department is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment which is safe and without risk to the health of its employees consistent with the department's obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic). Therefore, there is a requirement that all DJCS employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to undertake duties outside of their homes.

At interview stage and prior to commencement of employment with the department, you will need to provide evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 with **three doses** of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of **three doses** of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).

Acceptable evidence includes:

- COVID-19 digital certificate or ATAGI exemption certificate (available via your myGov account)
- Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
