**About the Opportunity**:
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Laboratory Assistant to join the Tugun Laboratory located at the John Flynn Hospital.

The work will involve performing various Preanalytical duties and assisting scientists with workflow.

Shifts range between 5:00 - 20:00, Monday to Sunday, including public holidays. Minimum 45 hours per fortnight.

Some of the responsibilities of the role include:

- Specimen reception and data entry;
- Assisting with phone enquiries;
- Preparing samples for analysis;
- Assisting the scientific staff with analyser maintenance and QC;
- Assisting the internal courier where required;
- General laboratory duties as required.

**About You**:
To be considered for this position, you will have excellent communication and organisational skills with high attention to detail. Although not essential, previous experience is highly desirable. We will also provide you with all the training you need to succeed in this role.

You will also require good keyboard skills and the ability to work as a team member in this busy laboratory.
