Our client is a leading provider of diagnostic pathology services and is part of one of Australia’s largest publicly listed healthcare companies. The laboratory is multi-disciplinary with specimen reception, biochemistry, haematology (morphology, coagulation), blood banking, Immunology and microbiology departments.**_About the role_**
We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to work in the Specimen Reception department on a permanent part-time bases, working a minimum of 25 hours a week with the ability work extra shifts to cover sick or holiday leave as required.
- You will be required to provide support and work across 2 hospitals based within a 15 minute drive of each other.
- You will participate in a rotating 7 day roster with first shift starting at 5.30am and last shift ending at 11pm.**_About You_**
To be considered for this role your skills and attributes should include:
- Minimum of a Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Certificate III in Pathology
- Must be vaccinated against COVID
- You will display excellent customer service with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work within a team as well as being able to work autonomously
- You will thrive in a busy environment and have the ability to work in a fast pace multi-skilled laboratory and demonstrate high attention to detail

**Trained Medical Laboratory Scientist with overseas qualifications and experience who are not yet AIMS accredited are encouraged to apply. Work in SRA to gain Australian experience whilst working your way towards getting AIMS accreditation to be eligible to work as a Scientist with the company in the future.**
