**About the role**

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven **Manager - Procurement** to lead our procurement function and drive value across our supply chain. This role is pivotal in ensuring cost-effective purchasing, supplier relationship management, and compliance with procurement policies and procedures. This role will be based at our **Brisbane office**.

**What you will be doing**
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Leading sourcing initiatives and negotiating contracts to achieve optimal value.
- Managing supplier performance, risk, and compliance.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and deliver solutions.
- Monitoring market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
- Ensuring procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing procurement team.

**What you will bring**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement management, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and tools (e.g. SAP).
