Role purpose:
Are you a qualified carpenter currently working as a leading hand looking to take the next step in your career?

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Site Supervisor will manage a team of trades and labour across multiple projects in Newcastle and Sydney. Travel in a company vehicle between Newcastle and Sydney will be necessary.

Leading by example, you will have hands-on experience with formwork and commercial construction practices.

As the team grows, so will your responsibility, and include the below.

Accountabilities:

- Lead by example and ensure a safety culture and the consistent adoption of safe work procedures
- Develop and implement QSE plans, work procedures, and SWMS with Project Engineer
- Work closely with the Project Engineer to ensure projects are set up for success from the start
- Manage and supervise team performance, including the management of disciplinary issues
- Maintain and update the project tool register
Train site labour and develop younger CWs
- Conduct and document safety pre-starts and inspections
- Manage safety incidents in conjunction with the project engineer and safety coordinator
- Supervise site works and lead by example through regular site inspections, helping the team to solve problems and manage day-to-day operational risks
- Practical demonstration of methods for training purposes
- Train by way of being able to show by physical interaction
- Bring unique techniques and solutions to the business through experience
Monitor site productivity against budget with a particular focus on labor costs

Qualifications:

- White Card
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
