Civil Design Manager

GHD’s Tasmanian Transport Group is currently offering a fantastic opportunity for a **Civil Design Manager **to join the growing team. Our local capacity to win and deliver major transport infrastructure projects and a strong pipeline of work nationally has generated an opportunity for a Civil Design Manager with 3 -10 years’ experience to become part of the GHD team in Tasmania.

**Working with the Business Group Leader for Transport, this diverse, flexible position has great opportunity for growth and will see you involved in**:

- Developing engineering design solutions in conjunction with clients and internal project teams
- Preparing proposals, technical reports and specifications
- Managing design projects including resource scheduling, project budget control and risk mitigation
- Developing delivery relationships with our clients and construction contractors
- Providing construction phase technical support
- Contributing to the development of GHD's knowledge and skills in civil engineering for Transport projects
- Continual improvement of design documentation and delivery through interaction with our Digital Delivery team

**What would you bring to the team?**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with eligibility to become a Registered Professional Engineer
- Passion for design management, documentation, assessment and analysis of technical data
- Excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to clearly present ideas and solutions and answer questions with confidence.
- Strong highways design and construction knowledge
- Knowledge and involvement in current digital design processes such as the use of BIM is desirable, but not essential
