Civil and Structural Works

GHD’s Tasmanian Project Management Group is seeking client-focused and enthusiastic **Surveillance Officers for Civil and Structural Works **. Due to a strong forward workload supporting construction activities on the new **Bridgewater Bridge **, and ongoing demand across projects in Tasmania generally, the team is expanding and is looking for team members with demonstrated capability in supporting safe and efficient delivery of projects.

We have multiple positions available across our **Hobart, Burnie and Launceston offices **.
- Supporting (5-10 years)

**Working on the project will see you involved in**:

- Undertaking supervision/ surveillance of construction activities
- Ensuring works undertaken as per the technical specification and design standards
- Maintaining records of all site works
- Monitoring traffic management, safety and environmental site management

**What would you bring to the team?**
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in civil construction industry coupled with experience in supervision, surveillance and independent verification of construction works
- Experience in quality, safety, traffic and environmental management plans
- Ability to build positive relationships with a range of parties on a construction project
- Provision of customer service focus
- White card and OHS training
- Defensive Driving or 4WD training
- A natural collaborator who is motivated by your team’s success
- Creation and assessment of Construction Programs in MS Project

**Civil**
- Experience in roadworks construction, including rigid and flexible pavements, drainage, earthworks, asphalting, and spray sealing.

**Structural**
- Experience in construction of structures, including piling, concrete work, precasting, prestressing, steel fabrication and erection.
