**The Role**
The Funding and Data Collection Division manages school funding arrangements and administers funding for all Australian schools and schooling systems who are eligible for Commonwealth funding under the Australian Education Act 2013.
The Payments and Collections Branch is responsible for collecting data to calculate payments and ensuring the accuracy of recurrent and capital payments to schools, in accordance with the governing legislation.
The Project Management Officer will be responsible for assisting the delivery of major technology projects involving the SchoolsHUB platform and associated systems which are a critical element for the payment of $28.5 billion annually to the schooling sector. This role will also support ongoing work to deliver the Education Funding System (EFS) Project.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
We are seeking individuals to undertake the following functions:
- Contributing to project planning, developing, and maintaining project artifacts, identifying risks and issues, and proposing solutions in an agile environment.
- Knowledge of and experience in using IT Project tools such as Altus and DevOps.
- Providing coordination and secretariat support for project board meetings.
- Monitoring and reporting on progress against project plans including regularly completing project status reports, and tracking of milestones, budgets and resourcing.
- Managing a range of contracts and undertake procurement activities.
- Assisting in identifying and tracking ICT issues.
