**About the job**

The Photographer and Multimedia Advisor provides creative direction and advice across a range of specialist areas of photography and multimedia communications, providing multi-functional advice to the whole organisation.

This position is responsible for the creation, visual documentation and coordination of a range of published printed and digital materials for the organisation from conceptualisation to final production, ensuring the visual identity effectively meets the wide-ranging requirements of Council including publications, promotional, publicity and branded campaign material on short to medium deadlines.

In addition to the concept creation and production, the Photographer and Multimedia Advisor provides professional photographic and multimedia services to the City of Charles Sturt. Technical services include photography and video shoots, editing, sound editing, drone footage and production and supply of quality images and multimedia for Council’s diverse communications and marketing needs.

We want a self-motivated, passionate and highly professional person who enjoys interacting with people to provide exemplary interpersonal connection. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to manage tight timeframes and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

Collaboration is key to success in this role as you will work closely with the Digital Communications Lead and the rest of the Media, Marketing and Communications Portfolio. You will also be required to build and maintain effective relationships across the City of Charles Sturt, in particular with all business units and the Elected Members, as well as fostering relationships with key external stakeholders and agencies.

**About the Team**

You will be a key member of the Media, Marketing and Communications Portfolio, reporting to the Digital Communications Lead Advisor and the Manager, Media Marketing and Communications. Our team is made up of specialists in marketing, communications, design, social media, customer experience and more. Working in a collaborative and united team creates the opportunity to connect via digital story telling to our 130,000 residents.

This position is offered on a full time, fixed term, six month contract, however part time applicants will also be considered. The position is classified at Level 5, with a salary from $92,726 per annum + Super.
