**Disability Support Worker**
**Start Date: Immediate Start**
**Job Type: Casual**

**Hours: up to 20 hours per week Monday to Friday, weekends.**
**Hourly Rate: $30.00 plus superannuation**

Happy Peeps Pty Ltd is currently looking for happy, enthusiastic and motivated Disability Support Worker’s to join our team. This is a casual role of up to 20 hours per week. Applicants must be available to work Monday to Fridays, overnight and weekends when required. You will be required to visit clients at home or take participants out into the community.

We provide services for anyone wanting professional counselling, support coordination or support workers for their unique needs and circumstances. **Position Description**
- Provide Support to NDIS participants in home and community access.
- Provide support for people with physical, intellectual and psychosocial mental health disabilities.
- Have exceptional communication skills and work from a client centred approach.
- Have strong interpersonal skills such as problem-solving and knowledge sharing skills.
- Have a friendly and positive attitude and willing to participate within a caring team environment.

**Duties**
- Domestic duties - washing up, washing clothes, general tidying
- Food preparation - shopping, preparing, cooking, clean up
- Lifestyle needs - assisting with making and attending medical appointments, travel to shopping centre and help with shopping
- Community access - assist with attending personal and community events

**Requirements**:

- Cert III in Disability, Individual support or extensive experience in disability, mental health, aged care or community services
- Hold a valid Blue card and Disability Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- Hold a valid unrestricted Drivers Licence
- Provide own reliable car and comprehensive insurance
- Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Completed First Aid & CPR Training
- Provide a Covid-19 digital certificate
- Be Pet friendly

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
