**Job Description**:
**About the Role**

You will initially oversee the planning for commercial operational readiness for the Port Kembla Energy Terminal, together with the business case planning for Port Kembla Power Station, new business opportunities, and the commercialisation of SQE 2040 vision for the Illawarra.

Once commissioned, this role will ensure the efficient day-to-day commercial operations which chiefly oversees the coordination of the offtakes rights in utilising the terminal capacity, the coordination the annual planning and scheduling the arrival of LNG cargoes, aggregating the regas nominations and the subsequent off-take of regas allocations, all while optimising the operators uncontracted terminal capacity.

Key responsibilities include:

- Negotiate and recommend for approval all PKET O&M related contracts, focusing on operational efficiency, asset optimisation, and alignment with SQE values.
- Managing the day-to-day operations of SQE Port Kembla commercial activities, including financial and commercial obligations under contracted services, contractual obligations, procurement, good governance, compliance and within our social licence to operate.
- Managing the budget, forecasting and financial performance of all Port Kembla Energy operations, including capital expenditures, operating expenses, and other costs associated with providing services.
- Developing commercial strategies to maximise SQE market advantages, while ensure effective management and delivery of contract arrangements to maximise SQE returns and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure commercial risks are identified, assessed, and managed in a proactive manner.

**Qualifications**:
**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Economics, or related discipline.
- Maritime, Port Operations, Energy or Engineering qualifications or experience is desirable.
- Proven senior level commercial experience withing the fields of international trade, port operations or energy related industries.
- 15+ years at a senior commercial level with significant commercial experience.
- Track record in negotiating and implementing port, gas, energy, or supply contracts.
- Extensive experience with customer management and contract risk management.
- Strong commercial acumen to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership qualities and demonstrated ability to develop others.
- Experience in structuring and bilateral commercial agreements.
