About Centenary State High School
Our school is a co-educational school of 1700 students, located in the beautiful, leafy Centenary area of Brisbane. Set on a gentle, sloping hill only a kilometre to the Brisbane River, Centenary State High School allows for a very peaceful environment for learning.
Our school continues to aspire and keep up with best educational practice. Our mission is to empower our students for individual success. This is underpinned through diverse curriculum pathways supported by a robust program of individual student care and support. Student learning is supported through the school's contemporary facilities with a strong focus on digital resources.
About the Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Leading the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Upholding the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies impacting on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.
