**Junior Development Coach - **Centenary Aquatic Centre Brisbane - Rackley Swimming**

The Rackley Swimming Squad program at Centenary Pool Spring Hill has been running since 2015 and has approximately 400 swimmers at present. We are looking for a coach to assist in the continued growth of our program, coaching our Junior and Bronze swimmers, and being the key coach contact for our Gregory Terrace school program.

**About the role**:
This role is full-time permanent employment and will be based at the Centenary Aquatic Centre, reporting directly to the Head Coach Age and Schools Programs

Key responsibilities
- Working closely with the Centenary Coaching team to execute the Strategic Direction of the program
- Development and oversight of training programs for Junior Swimmers at the centre inclusive of programming and working with the learn to swim team. Work with LTS to deliver an efficient and fun school program in the summer.
- Forming relationships with the community, parents, and children within the centre
- Attending and encouraging swimmers to attend club nights and promote joining the Rackley Swim team to compete in Local, State and National level Competitions.
- Attending local, state, and national meets.
- Work with our competitive school program to help improve our relationships with those schools

**About you**:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can build and balance the multifaceted nature of the role. Key traits and experience are seeking include:

- Experience with developing a community program and athlete development pathways.
- Prior coaching experience at all levels from transition programs to State/Nationals Level
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with swimmers and stakeholders and take them on their journey to develop swimmers to their full potential.
- Strong communication, team and collaboration skills, willingness to work with the site team engage and work closely with swim teachers

**The qualifications required for this role are**:

- Coaching accreditation - ASCTA Competitive Strokes and “Development/Bronze” or Higher
- Current Blue Card
- Current Pool Lifeguard Qualifications
- Willing to undergo a National Police Check
