The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is seeking an Artistic Coordinator to be a supporting role in our busy Artistic Planning team.

As the Artistic Coordinator at the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the artistic operations of this world-class institution. This central role involves fast paced administration, and high-quality project coordination while collaborating with orchestral musicians, guest artists, and the wider Artistic Operations department to ensure the smooth delivery of artistic logistics.

The Artistic Coordinator is assigned to be the primary Artistic contact for several programs over the Season. As the program lead for these programs, the Artistic Coordinator will coordinate the related artistic operations, including but not limited to:

- Liaising with guest artists and their managers to organise all details relating to their engagement such as: contracting, flights, hotels, rehearsal orders, string strengths, itineraries and publicity requests;
- Information sharing with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient management of all activities;
- Acting as Artist Liaison for guest artists - being their main point of contact while with the Orchestra;
- Supporting other team members in delivery of special projects.
