**LOCATION: South East South Australia**
As part of a Group of Companies this **specialised Contract Linehaul Freight & Transport Fleet Operations business,** located in South Australia's idyllic South East Region, operates a State-of-the-Art Fleet of Linehaul Prime Movers and Semi-Trailers / B-Doubles. The company has **established contract servicing agreements with major customers and manufacturers and is equipped to service their specialised requirements** across metropolitan and regional areas of South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. The company is also part of a diversified group of businesses operating across manufacturing, fabrication and building materials supply and contracting services and is continuing to expand its diverse range of services.
The General Manager will **lead and further develop an established and successful Linehaul Fleet Transport business, implement strategies for **maximizing customer service effectiveness, improve operational efficiency and capture opportunities for new business, clients & emerging markets. Through long term relationships and partnering agreements **the business is ideally positioned for further expansion, diversification and **market growth with** **significant potential for new business horizons. As the General Manager, you will also have oversight responsibility to Finance, Contracts, Fleet and Equipment Maintenance, Operational Planning and Personnel and ensuring continuing business success.
The General Manager will take responsibility for this privately-owned Transport Fleet Operations business and introduce effective systems and procedures that will spearhead the business into its next phase of growth and expansion. As an integral member of this Group of Companies Management Team, your mandate will be to lead, guide and mentor the business’s key personnel and provide **leadership, vision and clear direction to the team across business development, key client relationships, contracts negotiation, financial management,** maximising efficiency and capturing new opportunities through existing and new business channels. We are looking for individuals with proven Transport Fleet Operations Management experience within Australia who are keen to **contribute their commercial acumen, transport business knowledge and experience and continue the success of a well-established business**. You will support collaborative client relationships and contracted partnering agreements and explore value-add and efficiency initiatives that will enhance servicing these key clients.
