Area or Project Manager
- A salary package of $180k-220k base + super
- Central Brisbane based for first 18 months

**The Role**:
The client is a solid national main contractor and has an excellent reputation throughout the construction industry for delivering technically challenging projects. They are looking for an Area Manager for an interesting large scale infrastructure project to start in Brisbane.

**Responsibilities**
- Preparing safety and construction documentation, and developing procurement strategies;
- Prepare, track and forecast against a construction budget and liaising it with the client;
- Investigating services/utilities and issuing internal permits to work
- Maintaining the overall construction programs;
- Preparing daily cost control; to weekly and monthly reporting, utilizing engineering support services as required.
- Motivate and lead the project-based Engineers to meet or exceed all project targets and objectives
- Ensure Safety, Environmental and Quality (and other) management systems and project plans are implemented and up to date.

**About you**:

- Post Grad experience, and hold a relevant degree in civil engineering or similar
- Minimum 8+ years’ of experience as a project-based engineer in the construction engineering industry such as rail and associated civil infrastructure.
- With appropriate training, inductions, competencies, roles to perform your duties.
- A good understanding and demonstrative experience of civil engineering techniques relating to civil infrastructure works, including setting out and supervision.
- A practical-minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills.
- A solutions-orientated attitude with a desire to progress in your career.
