**The Role**
The Office of the Deputy Secretary Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (ODEPSEC CASG) is seeking an experienced individual to fulfil the position of EL2 Deputy Chief of Staff. You will be at the coalface of supporting DEPSEC CASG as one of his senior advisers, and leaders, in the midst of one of the most strategically important times for the Department of Defence. Be part of a dynamic team to set DEPSEC CASG up for success, operating in a fast-paced environment, and within one of the largest groups inside Defence. DEPSEC CASG’s remit is significant, so be part of an exciting journey as the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of DEPSEC CASG. You will report to the Chief of Staff, manage a range of responsibilities within the office, and have a number of staff reporting to you.

Your specific roles and responsibilities will include:

- Manage DEPSEC CASG operations.
- Support the delivery of DEPSEC CASG priorities.
- Manage DEPSEC CASG strategic issues, including, but not limited to:
- CASG equities in Defence policy.
- Create, review and provide advice on all Senior Executive and Ministerial/Government Products.
- DEPSEC CASG involvement in Parliamentary Committees & Senate Estimates.
- Manage DEPSEC CASG industry engagement, including, but not limited to:
- Review and provide advice on all external meeting/engagement requests.
- Accompany the DEPSEC, when required, to industry events.
- Accompany the DEPSEC, when required, in industry meetings.
- Supervisor to the following:
- Strategy & Policy Adviser.
- Senior Executive Officer.
- Executive Assistant.
- Act as Chief of Staff, when required.
