**The Role**
The Logistics Assurance Manager is accountable for leading a team responsible for coordinating and managing CASG’s Logistics Compliance and Assurance requirements. You will do this by managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, managing workflows and developing strategies to meet business outcomes. Your skills in logistics assurance ensure you can successfully navigate Defence’s complex logistics environment, analyse emerging trends and recommend solutions to CASG executive.

You will develop multi-level audit and assurance programs drawn from broader Defence Logistics policy and will often be asked to provide specialist advice to senior executive. Highly developed communication skills and emotional intelligence are essential. You will have the ability to develop an agile, well skilled and balanced team, able to meet Defence requirements, within a dynamic change environment. To enact the above you will energise your team to execute these programs and motivate stakeholders within CASG Business Units to meet the requirements.

**About our Team**
Compliance and Assurance (C&A) is responsible for managing Tier 3 logistics assurance programs within CASG that are mapped to the Defence Asset Logistics Strategy, including:

- Controls Assurance through Business Process Testing across Defence logistics and financial systems in accordance with Tier 4 policy.
- Explosive Ordnance (EO) assurance, including coordinating an annual stocktake program on EO and spot checks.
- Quality Record Assurance through coordination and over site of spot checks and receipt sampling.
- Price Record Assurance through monitoring and sampling of CASG activity within Logistics systems
- Coordination of asset inventory samplingThroughout the conduct of the above activities, C&A develops and submits reports for the relevant stakeholders.

The team are the recognised centre of expertise on CASG Logistics assurance and regularly provide advice to Defence stakeholders. C&A are also responsible for maintaining awareness of logistics assurance requirements across CASG, through training, education and maintaining a community of practice.
- Experience in managing an audit and compliance program
- Experience in Warehousing and stocktaking systems
- Demonstrated audit experience in a multi-site environment.
- The ability to build productive and harmonious teams.
- The ability to look for the value proposition in everything we do.
- Strong written and visual communication skills and great attention to detail.
- The ability to build productive relationships, especially with Tier 4 (JLC) and Tier 1-2 logistics assurance stakeholders in the group.
