**About us**

We are a financial services business located in the East Lake Macquarie area. With over 15 years’ experience in the industry our services include Financial Planning and Mortgage Broking.

We are seeking a qualified bookkeeper experienced with xero to work underneath our internal CA. This person will manage the bookkeeping function for 5 businesses we support.

**The role**

An immediate start is available for a person interested in Bookkeeping. Initially, we will expect you to work 10 hours per week, increasing to 15 hours per week within the first 3 months. Some WFH will be offered later on once you become familiar with how we operate and how tasks are performed.

Salary will be reflective of the experience of the applicant. A full-0time wage would put this person’s earnings between $60 - $65K.

You will perform a variety of general accounting duties as a bookkeeper, including but not limited to:

- accounts payable
- accounts receivable
- banking reconciliation
- financial reporting
- fortnightly payroll

**About you**
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with managers and employees
- The ability to manage your workload with multiple jobs on the go and still meet deadlines.
- Sound computing skills (including Microsoft 365)
- High attention to detail
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Xero experience (highly desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience within the financial services industry (highly desirable but not essential)
- Police background check no more than 3 months old or willingness to obtain one (essential)

**Education**

Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting or equivalent years’ experience preferred but not essential.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 10-15 per week

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
