**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Student Support Officer to join Office of the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Academic Division.

The Student Support Officer is a front-line position and includes high level consultation with prospective students, current students, academic staff and other key stakeholders across the University and externally.

We’re offering this role as a hybrid position as part of QUT’s commitment to embracing the opportunities created by a more virtual and connected world.

The focus of the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice will be to pursue research with impact and prepare our students for innovative roles as knowledge leaders at the nexus of design, education, communication, creative practice and social change.

With an intersection of creativity, education and social justice combined with QUT's overall focus on technology the faculty has strong ties to government and industry which provides our courses with a real

The faculty is proposed to be comprised of the following schools:

- School of Communication
- School of Creative Practice
- School of Design (including Industrial Design, Interactive Design, Visual Communication, and Fashion)
- School of Early Childhood and Inclusive Education
- School of Teacher Education and Leadership
- School of The Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice is led by the Executive Dean and the Executive Management Team comprising the dean, heads of schools, and other senior faculty staff.

**What you need to succeed**

As a strong communicator, you will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and communicate the shared QUT Values in your approach to work.

You will demonstrate:

- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of professional, client service in a busy client-orientated environment including the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and balance competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Good written and oral communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills which demonstrate the ability to liaise effectively with and provide excellent service to a diverse range of people in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality.
