**About the Role**

The Recreation Support Officer is responsible for supporting the Recreation Unit in its management of the Baw Baw Aquatic and Leisure Services contract, committees of management of public halls and recreation reserves, customer services, event management and facility bookings, and the planning and delivery of recreation services and facilities to the community.
The following are the key responsibility areas for the position:

- Respond to and manage internal and external enquiries regarding the Aquatic and Leisure Services contract, committees of management recreation services, event management and facility bookings, and maintenance allocations for all recreation reserves.
- Guide, support and ensure compliance of Committees of Management and advisory bodies in managing, maintaining, promoting, and maximising the sustainable use of public open space and recreational amenities.
- Assist in the development of Minor Works program and Site Management Plans to assist in a fit for purpose asset portfolio to support the provision of sport and recreation services.
- Provide service and information to the general public, relating to department programs and activities, where appropriate.
- Receive customer enquiries and correspondence, initiating and following up on appropriate action through liaison with relevant Council Officers and external parties.

The qualifications and experience required for the position include:

- Certificate in Business Administration or relevant experience.
- Previous experience working within an administrative support role
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
