UX Product Design Manager

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Manager, the UX Product Design Manager will lead, set design standards and best practice across your team and the digital business. The role will work confidently across platforms (eg. native mobile, web, mobile web) and take a keen interest in designing experiences enabled by emerging technologies. Reporting to the Head of Product & Experience, you will be instrumental to devising the design strategy and building the practice and culture of design across the digital business. You will be working in collaboration with the with other teams to help craft, refine and iterate on the look for all Catch platforms, with the goal of creating and shaping experiences our customers keep coming back for. You will have experience at designing for scale and help socialise the design ops initiatives across squads (eg. design system). You will help drive customer obsession and represent our customers in every conversation. You will also be a key player in reimagining the digital experience at Catch and ensuring brand continuity across all digital platforms.
**Requirements**:
The skills you’ll have
- Minimum 5 years’ experience designing across mobile and web interfaces
- Minimum 3 years managing design/CX/UX teams
- Proven experience designing across mobile apps, web, emerging digital experiences and marketing
- E-commerce experience
- Experience working closely with and influencing cross functional digital teams
- Experience with setting design direction and interpreting brand across all digital channels
- Experience working with defined personas and journey maps.
- Experience leading a team of designers
- Ability to make excellent design decisions with reference to research and data
- Familiar with both Apple’s Human Interaction Guidelines & Android Material Design
- Some knowledge with HTML / CSS
- High level of understanding of the constraints and opportunities unique to each platform
- An excellent understanding of customer-centred design (Design thinking, HCD, Agile, Lean UX a must)
- High-level presentation skills
- Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction (desired)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with developers and Product Managers in an Agile environment
- Knowledge of design tools - design tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe CS)
- Skilled in rapid prototyping, and working knowledge of various testing methods (smokescreen, guerilla test, usability etc ) and can mentor team across this
