**Communications Adviser - Campaigns opportunity**

**About the role**

Our client, a government department, currently seeks an experienced Communications Adviser with a strong focus on marketing campaigns to join them on a 3-months contract based in Melbourne CBD. As the Communications Adviser, you will support and assistance the organisation's advertising and marketing strategy, planning, coordinating, and delivering community awareness campaigns and external facing events in alignment with its Communications strategy.

**Responsibilities and duties**

Key tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Assist in coordinating, developing, and evaluating communication strategies and advertising campaigns.
- Assist across campaigns from inception to delivery, including working with the Campaigns Managers and designers to develop innovative concepts, and navigating the Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process, as well as liaise with internal stakeholder.
- Supporting the Campaigns Managers in delivery of all components of communications strategy with an emphasis on advertising campaigns.
- Working to source and pitch positive stories that engage the community and promote the work of the organisation and its staff.
- Participating in planning and coordinating events, including sourcing and negotiating with vendors, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and assist with the coordination of operations to ensure events run smoothly.
- Provide sound advice and recommendations on emerging channels and platforms and assist with the day-to-day management of the organisation's website and social media pages, including monitoring, moderating and developing content and strategies to enhance its online presence.

**Experience and Skills**

Experience and skills that you will need to demonstrate include:

- 5+ years' experience in a marketing role.
- Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process experience or experience delivering large scale marketing or advertising campaigns in a government environment would be highly advantageous for this role.
- Proven relationships with key media and knowledge of media and social media processes and procedures.

**Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or related field is required.
- Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process experience highly regarded
