Production Estimating Manager

The Production Estimating Manager works closely with the Thornton Estimating team, Operations Manager and is part of the Production Estimating MJH team. The key focus of this role will be to manage the production estimating workflow whilst leading, developing, and motivating a high performing team. More specifically, you will:

- Overseeing estimating workflow, timeframes, and cost control
- Executing continuous improvement of the estimating process and structure to suit the needs of the business
- Working collaboratively cross functionally to resolve any issues to deliver to expectations and business outcomes
- Preparing and monitor daily reports to ensure the team are meeting all key measurables, KPI’s and objectives
- Managing the department workflow requirements
- Ensuring accuracy of contract documentation, purchase orders, specifications, and inclusions against our contract obligations prior to commencing work on site
- Conduct regular meetings around ETS improvements

You will share a passion for our purpose to be Australia’s number one residential builder and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:

- Previous production estimating experience
- Proven ability to mentor and coach individuals and improve performance of teams
- A sound knowledge and working history within the Residential Housing Industry including knowledge of Australian Standards in Building/Construction and Building Code Australia
- Exceptional customer-centric service skills with the ability to influence, engage and maintain key business relationships across all levels
- The ability to provide creative solutions to problems, and suggest different and innovative ways to address opportunities
- Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a high standard of service
