THE ROLE - WHAT YOU WILL MANAGE & BUILD
- This Product Manager position, sits in the marketing team and manages a product portfolio for Australia and New Zealand. The role reports to the Head of Marketing.
- The role is responsible for product management of specified portfolios including key marketing functions such as portfolio planning, product launches, key opinion leader development, regulatory/compliance, promotional campaigns and communications. This role also manages the development of a total solution offer to general dentists.
- The person in this position will develop quarterly and longer-term plans to maintain and/or grow the portfolios within defined market segments and monitor and evaluate the plan.
- You will provide updates to relevant 3rd parties and the management team and evaluate portfolio options and provide business cases for new product launches, additions and removal/retirement of slow-moving items within the portfolio.
- The role is responsible for the launch and provision of on-going support for specified portfolios, ensuring the focus of the portfolio meets strategic objectives.
- You will develop sound understanding of the general dentist segment and profiles associated with this customer group and learn to understand solutions that help meet customer needs.
- You will develop and grow market share for the portfolio and co-call and assist with sales and sales training for the sales team and customers, providing ways to motivate the sales team to increase sales of focus products.
- You will be responsible for market release and reinvigoration activities for the portfolio products and identify, develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and utilise these relationships to grow portfolio business and expand market share.
- You will develop education programs and events to help promote the portfolio.
- You will identify, research, and engage prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business and refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate stakeholders within the organisation so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
WHAT EXPERIENCE WILL YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB?
- Preferably a science, marketing or business degree, equivalent qualification or experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role in product management in medical devices. Having a background in marketing for a dental device company will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyse data and identify potential business solutions for customers based on customer values and ambitions.
