**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Ongoing Full Time
- Band 6 salary commencing $92,535 plus 11.5% superannuation and vehicle
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements

Are you a qualified or experienced Environmental Health Officer who strives to make a difference in helping the community?

As an Environmental Health Officer you will be involved in:

- Conducting inspections and investigations.
- Undertaking food, water and other sampling programs.
- Investigating and taking action to various nuisance, infectious disease outbreaks, food recalls and food complaints.
- Registration of premises and maintenance of appropriate standards.
- Promoting a high standard of public health through education and public health programs.
- Preparing written reports, notices and legal briefs relating to Public Health.

**ABOUT YOU**:
You will have a Degree in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent and demonstrated experience as an Environmental Health Officer working in the field.

You will have experience or knowledge of specific environmental, public health, local government and related legislation, policies and codes of practice. You will also understand how rural, urban and coastal, industrial and commercial developments relate to health matters.

You will have a proactive approach and excellent customer service skills.
