**Job Description - Quality Assurance Manager**
**Location: Melbourne, Australia**
**Employment Type: Full-Time**
**Reports To: Director of Operations / Executive Leadership Team**

**About the Role**
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality assurance systems, policies, and processes that ensure the consistent delivery of products and services that meet internal standards and regulatory requirements. This leadership role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement across departments, safeguarding compliance, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

You will also be tasked with identifying risks, training staff on quality protocols, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to align quality initiatives with organizational objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Quality Strategy & Policy Development
- Design and implement comprehensive quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Develop and oversee quality strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Establish benchmarks and KPIs for assessing quality performance and customer satisfaction.
- Process & Systems Management
- Review and audit internal operational processes, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure quality systems are maintained in line with ISO, HACCP, or other applicable standards.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Monitor compliance with relevant laws, industry regulations, and standards.
- Lead external and internal quality audits, preparing detailed reports and managing follow-ups.
- Ensure readiness for certification or accreditation audits and develop risk mitigation frameworks.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor the QA team, providing training on quality protocols, standards, and best practices.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across all departments.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify professional development needs within the team.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Collaborate with operations, product development, customer service, and senior leadership to ensure quality standards are met at all stages.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, data insights, and quality metrics to executive leadership.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and clients to align on quality expectations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or regulatory role, including team leadership.
- Experience with ISO standards, lean methodologies, and audit preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance organizational compliance.

**Salary**: $78,000 - $92,000 per year + super + bonus structure
