John Hunter Hospital Intensive Care Unit is a dynamic 29 bedded unit that supports the people of Hunter New England Local Health District and the Mid North Coast. The ICU is co-located with a 7 bedded Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Organ and Tissue Donation Service and The Hunter Retrieval Service. It’s an exciting and supportive place to work, with plenty of professional development opportunities. The ICU & PICU has experienced recent and ongoing growth and is resourced to provide specialised medical, nursing, and allied health care for a wide variety of intensive care patients. 2026 will see the opening of the John Hunter Hospital and Innovation Precinct which will include an exciting new Intensive Care Unit with over 50 beds, and a 10 bedded Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. **About the job**:
As the ICU/PICU Data Manager, you'll be responsible for high-quality aggregate data collection on critical care patients in both the John Hunter ICU and Paediatric ICU. This role involves managing ICU databases, ensuring data accuracy, and providing in-depth analysis and reporting from multiple sources. Your work will directly support the implementation and evaluation of critical care resources, research, and patient outcomes. In addition to system administration and data management, you'll collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely and relevant data is available to guide decision-making and improve patient care.
