HeartCare Toowoomba is seeking a highly organised and friendly **Medical Receptionist / Practice Assistant** to join our dedicated team in delivering essential cardiac care to our community.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dual-role capacity—balancing front-desk responsibilities with hands-on support with the patients.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Answering incoming calls and greeting patients on arrival
- Checking in patients and collecting/entering their details into the software
- Scheduling and managing appointments
- Scanning and uploading referrals, test results, and clinical documents
- Billing through Medicare, and receiving and processing patient payments
- Ordering stock and supplies as required
- Hooking/unhooking medical devices and uploading data to software
- Note: Dictaphone typing is _**not**_ _required._

**Preferred Skills & Experience**
- **Medical receptionist experience** highly regarded
- Experience using **Gentu software** is **strongly desired**but not essential
- **Medicare billing experience** is strongly preferred
- Intermediate skills in **Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel**:

- Knowledge of **confidentiality requirements** in healthcare
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- High personal integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
- Professional standard of personal presentation
