As the Head of Merchandise, you will be responsible for leading our strategic vision through driving new product development, analysing current offerings, and planning impactful campaigns to drive business growth. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead a high-performing team, working closely with key stakeholders to turn our vision into reality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Drive sales and profitability through effective merchandise strategies.
- Lead and manage planning and product team to achieve business goals.
- Analyse sales data and industry trends for informed merchandise decisions.
- Negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing and quality products.
- Collaborate with departments for seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Oversee critical path management for efficient operations.
- Manage stock ordering and forecasting for optimal inventory management.
- Mentor and empower the merchandise team for growth and success.
- Ensure that the management of the OTB budget is in line with financial objectives.
- Achieve financial targets, including sales and stock performance.
- Collaborating closely with the Financial Manager to closely monitor inventory performance and make any necessary adjustments.
- Develop and manage new product lifecycle.
- Generate and evaluate growth opportunities within the retail and wholesale category.

**Your Skills & Experience**:

- Bachelor degree in Business, Merchandising or a related field.
- Proven experience track of 5+ years in merchandise management, preferably in furniture and e-commerce environment.
- Extensive managerial and team leadership experience exceeding 5 years.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and business strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of market trends, consumer behaviour and the competitive landscape.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can effectively adapt and prioritise.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen and experience in managing budgets, forecasting and pricing.
- Results-oriented, skilled in problem-solving, attention to detail and utilising analytical techniques.
- Self-motivated, adept at multitasking, meeting deadlines and performing under pressure.
