Our Government client is seeking to engage an Investigation Officer on a contract for 4 months.
**Position Overview**
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Assess and investigate notifications and complaints made to CECA pursuant to the National Law and the CYP Act.
- Conduct investigations, interview relevant parties, draft witness statements and correspondence relevant to investigations.
- Document evidence in investigations of notifications and complaints in accordance with record management requirements.
- Provide comprehensive and sound reports and recommendations for Triage and Case management committee and corresponding compliance actions.
- Demonstrate a professional, proactive, accurate, efficient and confidential customer focused services to wide range of internal and external stakeholders

**Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge**
- Proven experience in conducting investigations, monitoring activities in a regulatory framework and analysing complex matters in an investigation framework.
- Well-developed written skills including the development of written reports, administrative decisions, statutory actions and general correspondence.
- Ability to manage a diverse, high-volume caseload and the ability to plan and prioritise work to meet agreed deadlines and organisational requirements.
- Demonstrate proficiency in technology and computer skills and the ability to learn operating systems efficiently and effectively.
**Behavioural Capabilities**
- Demonstrate well developed interpersonal communication and leadership skills, including the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate engagement with the departments’ Respect, Equity and Diversity Framework in accordance with the Directorate’s Work Health and Safety policies, procedures and roles and responsibilities.
**Compliance Requirements / Qualifications**
- Highly desirable qualifications in investigations, a relevant discipline or equivalent experience required.
- A current driver’s licence.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Applicants must hold a cleared police check.
