We are committed to the principles of the circular economy and we are shaping the future through sustainable packaging. **Discover the Opportunity** The role of the Logistics Superintendent is to manage the distribution and inwards goods operations of the Maryvale Paper Mill business to meet customer delivery requirements, manage stocks of raw and finished goods while ensuring stock accuracies and delivery performance to support business objectives. You will contribute to the success of Opal by: - Ensure a healthy, safe and environmentally compliant workplace by adherence to all legal, statutory and OHS&E policies, systems and practices, and by directing corrective action as required. - Lead the Inwards & outwards goods distribution teams to "best possible" practices to continuously improve service and minimise cost. - Set adequate targets for warehousing and logistics teams in alignment with set KPIs and business objectives. - Drive cost saving initiatives to improve performance and cost of the warehouse and logistics functions. - Establish and maintain sound working relationships with service providers including 3PL and 4PL management and conflict resolution. - Influence distribution and collaborate with Customer Service to continuously improve service levels and DIFOT. - Ensure raw materials and finished goods are receipted via SAP and delivered in a timely manner to meet customer requirements and fall in line with the planning needs of the business. **Discover Yourself.** We are able to offer a varied career journey with experiential learning gained from cross-functional and lateral moves. Specifically for this role, you will have; - 5 years of experience in a similar role coupled with qualification in Warehousing, Transport or Logistics. - Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing / transport environment. - Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. - Advanced knowledge of material handling systems such as SAP. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Experience in supervising and developing a small to medium team. - Strong focus on safety. - Proven project management skills would be advantageous. - Continuous Improvement mindset.
