Track Curators Assistant

A position has become available to join our Track and Grounds Team. You will be working closely with our Head Racetrack Curator, assisting in the Racetrack maintenance and venue preparation for Trackwork and Race nights.
- Approx 40hrs/week
- Preparation and maintenance of a blue metal material racetrack (Cracker Dust, Sand)
- dragging, rolling, conditioning -using dedicated machinery
- Maintenance of track machinery and vehicles
- General maintenance of buildings, stabling areas and grounds as required, which includes lawn mowing, irrigation and general landscaping.
- About you
- Flexible with hours, as you will be required to start at 4 am on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Experience driving heavy machinery
- tractors, Water Trucks
- Must hold a valid C Class license. HR License desirable, or ability to obtain.
- Fit and healthy
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and high-risk environments, including around horses
- Professional attitude and highly motivated
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment to ensure all tasks are completed
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
