The incumbent will be responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient processing and payment of the School's payroll and related client services to the School and its staff. The role is end to end payroll and would be the sole Payroll person to support a staff of 500 employees

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Management of end to end processing of fortnightly payroll and tax payments, monthly superannuation processing and payments.
- Point of contact for superannuation issues and queries from clearing house as well as staff of 500.
- Manage payroll and financial queries from Centrelink, RTWSA, Department of Human Services, ATO and NGS.
- Coordination of daily bank reconciliation between the Payroll Coordinator and Accountant (work with Accountant on debtor and entry issues).
- Liaise with external service providers including the employee compensation claims agent and salary packaging providers.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including superannuation, workers compensation, parenting leave and fringe benefits tax with regards to payroll processing.
- Responding to requests such as termination calculations, payments of long service leave with relevant tax calculations

**About You**:
You will be able to demonstrate you end to end payroll experience in large volume - 150+people using a contemporary Payroll Management System (Synergetic Payroll System would be preferred).
- High level of payroll knowledge including WorkCover and Superannuation.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skill level
- Familiarity with Human Resource Management Information Systems and reporting.
- Experience in working effectively, independently and as part of a team.
