A part-time position as a Payroll Officer in the growing payroll team, located in the City Fringe area of the Eastern suburbs. The position offers flexible working hours on Mondays to Wednesdays

**Position**: Payroll Officer
**Location**: City Fringe area, Eastern suburbs
**Type**: Contractual role, immediate start
**Work Schedule**: Part-Time, 3 days per week (flexible schedule, Monday to Wednesday)

**Work from home can be negotiated down the line.**

**Job Summary**: Join our client's growing payroll team and provide support in a friendly office environment. This part-time role requires your expertise in payroll processing and ensuring accurate financial calculations for a workforce of 800+ staff members. You will be responsible for various payroll tasks and will have the opportunity to contribute to financial and operational reporting as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process payroll transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Collect, calculate, and enter data to update and maintain payroll information.
- Prepare summaries of earnings, taxes, leave, and other deductions, and generate reports accordingly.
- Interpret industrial instruments, such as modern awards and enterprise agreements.
- Handle complex payroll calculations, including redundancy payments and workers' compensation payments.
- Address payroll queries from staff members.
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies.
- Develop ad hoc financial and operational reports when required.
- Perform any other duties incidental to payroll management.

**Requirements**:

- **Proven experience in navigating payroll systems, preferably Preceda payroll or similar software.**:

- Strong numeracy skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.
- Good record-keeping abilities.
- Due to the confidential nature of the information handled, a high degree of professionalism and discretion is required.
