**About the role - Full-time (part-time considered), max term contract for 2 years**

The Payroll Officer is responsible for assisting with all payroll functions, end to end, and providing expert informed advice to field general enquiries for the business. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will support with fortnightly pay runs, assist in adjustments, update accurate employee data, and work collaboratively with our stakeholders of which include the wider finance team, people and culture and our employees.
- Duties include but not limited to:_
- Participate in the fortnightly payroll process working with the Payroll Manager
- Participate in the facilitation of end of month reconciliation
- Maintain clear communication and ensure the effective exchange of information across all internal stakeholders
- Review the accuracy of all employee details including correct banking details, superannuation details and taxation details
- In conjunction with Manager, Payroll, ensure the compliance of all payroll records and information

**About you**:
As an experienced payroll professional you will find your feet quickly and are well-versed working in large organisations supporting the payroll function for hundreds of employees. You take pride in your attention to detail and ability to work with competing priorities. You have had exposure to various payroll systems, and can pick them up quickly, also highly competent in the Microsoft Office Suite.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

- Qualifications relevant to the position and/or minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll functions
- Prior experience in other areas of finance desirable, or willingness to learn
- Demonstrated commitment of compliance to policies and relevant legislation
- Have a friendly, collaborative approach to your work and able to deal with stakeholders at various levels
- A clear communicator with excellent written and verbal skills

You will be required to have, or be willing to obtain:

- Full unrestricted South Australia Driver’s Licence
- DHS Child-Related Employment Screening or Working With Children check
- National Police Clearance
- Training: Provide First Aid
- Safe Environments for Children and Young People Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours may be required
- Travel within Australia may be required
- To be considered for employment with Baptist Care SA, you must have an up-to-date Covid 19 Vaccination status or be able to provide an appropriate medical exemption.
