We have multiple opportunities for highly motivated, outcome focused Practice Lead to provide practice supervision to employees, facilitating reflective practice, exploration of ethical issues, skill development and employee wellbeing in the Homelessness and Housing and Justice Programs.
In this role, you'll promote and enhance practice development across programs and teams.
Day to day activities will include:
- Working collaboratively with the Manager, taking a lead role in professional practice development across your assigned program area(s).
- Collaborating with the teams to share ideas, insights, and best practices with each and with other practice areas across SYC.
- Providing practice guidance, training, and mentorship to staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment conducive to professional growth and development.
- Modelling professional, ethical, and respectful practice through the provision of practice supervision, advice, and support to employees regarding ethical and effective ways to address the social, developmental, therapeutic and wellbeing needs of clients.
- Working proactively to support the effective implementation of the Practice Governance Framework in your program area(s)
- Monitoring and staying up to date on latest trends, developments, and opportunities in your practice area/s, as well as the broader community services sector.
**About You**
As a natural and experienced leader, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the development of and supporting the implementation of best practices in alignment with the Practice Governance Framework, industry standards, client expectations, and organisational goals. You will have exceptional time management and organisational skills and be able to plan and coordinate resources to meet program delivery and client needs to achieve set targets within deadlines.
**To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate**:
- Previous Experience in community services, ideally within housing or homelessness, justice, or youth services.
- The ability to guide, motivate and develop others using a values-based coaching and advisory approach driven by high standards.
- Strong engagement skills and the ability to interact effectively and sensitively with employees and teams to ensure delivery of high-quality services and supports.
- Experience building relationships and collaborating successfully with a variety of key stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes with clients.
**For this role, you will need to**:
- Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Have possession of acurrent valid Driver’s License, willingness to drive, andyour own registered vehicle with a 4-5-star ANCAP safety rating.
