Our Foster Care Service is funded through the Department for Child Protection (DCP) to provide family based foster care services in the SA Metropolitan North, South, West, and East, the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa, Fleurieu Peninsula and the Murray/Mallee regions.
**About the Role**
You will support and supervise the Foster Care Engagement and Recruitment & Retention workers. In addition, this role is responsible for the management of a specialised Foster Care Recruitment and Retention program and event management which supports children and young people in care and their foster families.
**What You’ll Do**
- **Carer Connection and Engagement**: Building strong, trusting relationships with carers, their families, and the community is crucial. This helps create a supportive network that fosters positive outcomes.
- **Community Integration**: Connecting carers and their families to local opportunities such as sports, recreation, and volunteer activities can greatly enhance their experience and well-being.
- **Recruitment and Retention**: Developing and implementing strategies to recruit and retain foster carers is vital. This includes researching best practices, collaborating with stakeholders, and promoting the program.
- **Data and Reporting**: Collecting and analysing data to inform strategies and meet reporting requirements ensures that the program is effective and continuously improving.
- **Leadership and Supervision**: Providing day-to-day supervision, professional development, and support to staff helps maintain high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- **Strategic Planning**: Contributing to strategic and business planning, setting clear performance standards, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement are essential for long-term success.
- **Risk Management and Budgeting**: Managing risks and budgets ensures that resources are used effectively and that the program can sustain its operations.
- **Marketing & Communications**:Work closely with the marcoms team to develop impactful campaigns that raise awareness and inspire community involvement. You will collaborate in the development of authentic and engaging social media content, video interviews with LC's wonderful carers, merchandise collateral, and outreach materials.
