We currently require an experienced **HSE Superintendent** to join the Shaft Sinking Division at RUC Cementation.

**ROSTER: 15 shifts on and 13 shifts off (days shift only) at Tanami NT.**

**Please note: This position is open to residential based or FIFO from any capital city.**

**Core responsibilities**:

- Co-ordinate the management and continuous improvement of the HSE management system documentation and monitor the performance of site safety procedures
- Ensure full implementation of the RUC Mining Safety Management Plan and the Site Safety Activity Compliance and Implementation Schedule (SACIS) for your site
- Manage the Site Activity Compliance and Implementation Schedule requirements and review on a month basis
- Create and chair weekly safety and crew commute meetings
- Ensure all new employees and contractors are appropriately inducted, trained and competency assessed to enable them to perform their job sepcific requirements in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure all contractors to RUC Mining are treated as per ST.012 Mangement Standard
- Ensure all operations are conducted with risks and hazards that are ALARP
- Ensure that compliance is statutory requirements are maintained and continuously improved where applicable
- Manage the Critical Risk Assessment (CRM) program and ensure that monthly targets and objectives are achieved
- Assist in promoting and implementing a safety-first culture that supports continuous OHS improvement.
- Organise training programmes for employees as required, this may involve the utilisation of external providers or your own skills and expertise.
- Ensure existing employees and contractors are appropriately trained for the tasks that they are required to undertake and ensure compliance with RUC training programmes and initiatives and statutory requirements as per the applicable legislation and standards.
- Create, prepare and provide to clients and RUC corporate management a suitable HSET report detailing compliance with the site SMP key performance indicators (KPI’s) on a monthly basis (EOM Report).
- Where required coordinate the development of site or area specific health and safety management system documentation and monitor the performance of the client safety procedures.
- Manage, review and update the site risk register
- Assist when required with JHA’s.
- Ensure all hazard inspections are completed as per the RUC Mining Safety Management Plan.
- Comply with reporting and other requirements as directed by the Project Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Certificate IV in OH&S or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assesment
- Manual C Class Drivers’ License.
- Good understanding of current Mining Legislation and Workplace Health and Safety.
- Underground experience
- Experience in investigation process and analysis.
- +3years in construction Health and Safety essential - Mining and Shafts desirable
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, learn concepts and systems quickly.
- Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision as well as part of a team with a demonstrated ability to manage one’s own time.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Exercise tact, discretion and maintain confidentiality.
