**THE OPPORTUNITY**
As the DECJUBA brand continues our exponential growth we have a newly created opportunity for an Assistant Garment Technician to work closely with the QA Team Leader. This role will be fundamental in ensuring that Decjuba delivers and maintains superior women’s and kids apparel product. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to get their foot in the door at one of Australia and New Zealand’s leading retailers.
**As an Assistant Garment Technician at DECJUBA, you will**:
- Assist with the preparation of all departmental fit sessions: steaming samples, ensuring the fit room is ready for the session and preparing the specs ready for fittings.
- Attend all fit sessions and handover sessions, taking actionable notes.
- Attend weekly QA/Production meetings.
- Ensure main labels, swing tags and care labels are updated in the tech packs for the QA team.
- Measure samples and check labelling.
- Assess fit samples to review garment construction eg. Fabric type, tension, finishes, construction.
- Learn and understand product aftercare requirements per department.
- Learn and understand product testing processes and outcomes.
- Develop full understanding of department critical path requirements.
- Store visits with the QA team and compile a report of all findings post visit.
- Distribution centre visits with the QA team to investigate quality issues.
**ABOUT YOU**
You’re a recent graduate with a tertiary qualification in Fashion or Textiles. You have a passion for womenswear and kids fashion, with a strong interest or knowledge of Garment construction, specification’s, grading and quality assurance. You’re ready to take the next step in your fashion career journey with the desire to learn and grow from an established leader.
You will also be:
- Highly driven, passionate and exhibit strong enthusiasm in all aspects of the role and quality assurance.
- Confident to ask questions whether big or small.
- A dedicated team player and loves to work collaboratively, as well as individually.
