City Parklands Services Pty Ltd ( **City Parklands**), delivers integrated place management for South Bank Parklands, Roma Street Parkland, and Victoria Park / Barrambin on behalf of Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government. City Parklands are trusted custodians of these parkland precincts, delivering enjoyable, sustainable and safe environments for residents and visitors, providing exceptional spaces of a world-class standard.

City Parklands is not only responsible for these premier parkland precincts, they also deliver and host major award-winning events for Brisbane City, with over 14 million visitors annually. With contract negotiations underway (or almost complete), City Parklands plans to expand its business, with exciting new sites under negotiation to come into the portfolio. With each agreement distinct, the organisation requires a commercial CFO/ General Manager, Corporate Services to lead the finance, technology and procurement teams.

With a business growth agenda, we seek an Executive who can assess the current processes and systems, bring the financial reporting to best practice, and look to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the entire organisation.

As a valued member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), you will work as part of a team to increase the commerciality of the organisation and assist the various business leaders in operating at a high level, not just through the production of accurate and timely financial reports, but also with support, advice and guidance.

This is a leadership role requiring ‘hands-on’ execution. Your remit will be to inspire and lead an effective team (of nine staff) and be present and visible to staff across the organisation. You will be adaptable and embrace change where opportunity presents. You will enjoy working with diverse stakeholders, including Brisbane City Council, the Queensland Government and many other public and private agencies.

We are seeking a leader who is people-oriented and capable of realising growth potential in the services and reach of City Parklands. This role will be a vital member of an organisation that benefits Brisbane as a safe, vibrant, green and prosperous city for residents and visitors - this will be critical in the lead-up to 2032 and Brisbane’s place on the world stage.

City Parklands is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brisbane City Council, and Governance is provided through the Board of Directors. As the CFO, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely data and you will directly interact with the Board of Directors.
