**D’Arcy Weil is representing a prominent independent infrastructure equity fund manager that specialises in developing diversified portfolios across a range of projects in North America, Europe and the APAC regions.**
The team is currently looking for a proficient and experienced ESG and Responsible Investment Manager to join their Sydney-based team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement ESG policies and practices across the portfolio to ensure that we meet commitment to sustainable investing
- Monitor ESG performance of portfolio companies and engage with management to improve their practices, while ensuring alignment with values and ESG principles
- Conduct ESG due diligence on potential investments, integrating ESG factors into investment decision-making process
- Advise investment teams on ESG risks and opportunities to enable them to make informed investment decisions
- Engage with external stakeholders such as investors, NGOs, regulators, and industry groups on ESG matters, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Produce high-quality ESG reports and communicate with investors, providing transparency on ESG performance and progress
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of experience in ESG or sustainable investment, with a proven track record of delivering results
- Deep understanding of infrastructure equity investments and private markets, including relevant ESG considerations
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyse ESG data and integrate it into investment decision-making
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders on ESG matters
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, environmental science or related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification would be highly regarded
