We are looking for an export operator/specialist with a background in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics to be part of the team. This position is available to be filled in either our **Sydney**, **Melbourne**, or **Brisbane** offices.

You will manage the end-to-end export process for a dedicated customer base and help remind clients what great customer service is all about. This will be a busy role with plenty of customer contact and challenge. As we expand there will be ample opportunity for the right applicant to get involved in other projects and develop their career. For now, we are a little fish in a very big pond.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Handling FCL/LCL consignments from quoting/ booking stage through the documentation process, invoicing, final delivery, and file reconciliation. If there are issues, you want to be part of the solution.
- Pulling together export FAK consolidations, liaising with assorted providers, and making necessary arrangements with landside and warehouses to optimise packs
- Liaising with overseas partners around pricing, process, and performance.
- Building rapport with local suppliers including (but not limited to) trucking companies, shipping lines, customs brokers, 3PL warehouses, and other logistics service providers that we work with.
- Exceeding service expectations with a client base made up of both wholesale and retail clients.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Relevant Australia export experience (minimum 1 year)
- Experienced in handling & processing Dangerous goods/Hazardous export shipments
- A good working knowledge of the Australian/international freight industry (and the current challenges that come with it)
- Computer literate with a solid base of 1-2 years of CARGOWISE experience. **THIS IS IMPORTANT**.
- Takes pride in having a systematic thorough approach. We’ll provide the tools.
- Consistent attention to detail, ‘do it once, get it right’ attitude.
- Ability to work to deadlines and to own a task from beginning to end.
- Willingness to adapt and can embrace change. As we expand quickly, there will be growing pains.
