**Finance Actuary - Allianz Australia | Location - Flexible** - Report to the Head of Capital Management in a market-leading insurance company - Engage with colleagues around the world & build a global network - Allianz is a FlexReady employer, flexible working options are available **Would you like to be recognised for the difference you bring?** Allianz Australia is looking for a Capital Management Actuary; the primary purpose of this role is to update, develop and review models, prepare reports and identify risks, material trends identified in the valuation process and provide insights of their potential impact on future profitability and solvency, as well as assisting to ensure Allianz’s liability reporting obligations (internal, regulatory and statutory) are met. - Undertake data and statistical analysis, execution of capital model runs, including model parameterisation and validation, and communicate model results. - Perform efficiency and methodology enhancements to the capital model. - Incorporate expert knowledge of actuarial methodologies and concepts into analysis. - Identify and provide insights from analysis to inform internal stakeholders and support business decisions. - Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of capital management processes and process controls. - Support the production of specialised business reporting. - Support the development of junior analysts, as appropriate. **To be considered and successful for this role you will demonstrate**: - Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related discipline. - Ideally Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA) or equivalent. - Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making. - Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with specialised tools such as ResQ software. - Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with clients, intermediaries and service providers. - Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and empower people to develop individual and team potential. **What's on offer?** - Access on-demand lifelong learning and take control of your career development. - Learn through being supported and encouraged to take on new challenges that will help you to develop new skills - Be part of a team that’s open-minded, supportive, approachable and genuinely focused on customer outcomes - We understand about work-life balance, we are always willing to discuss flexible & remote working options with our employees.
