Director, Accounting Advisory Services

**About the Role**

Our Accounting Advisory Services practice undertakes a wide range of engagements supporting and assisting our clients with complex accounting matters, the related commercial implications and the practical development & implementation of solutions. Our clients include public and private businesses, banks, private equity houses and law firms.

Our team of seasoned professionals has extensive experience supporting clients through regulatory & reporting matters, transactions & restructures, new accounting standards & restatements, accounting policy & control development, audit readiness & remediation.

**What You’ll Do**- Help analyse the matter at hand, develop problem definition and design solutions considering reporting, compliance and commercial objectives-
- Review contracts and other information received and identify further information required to complete the analysis- Analyse and interpret highly complex information, including accounting, financial and other business records- Draft client reports and presentations that detail project scope, methodology and findings- Day-to-day contact with clients- Develop project planning and management skills- Supervise the work of junior staff and provide coaching to junior team members- Develop client relationships through execution and begin to develop a broader professional network- Assist senior team members with new business development activities

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
- CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Professional accounting experience, including experience such as audit or other assurance
- Strong understanding of, and interest in, technical accounting advisory and the related compliance and commercial implications
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English required
- Experience in writing reports
- Excellent language and interpretive skills
- Strong analytical and process analysis skills
- Detailed knowledge of accounting principles
- Thirst for knowledge and ability to learn and develop quickly
- Adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information
- Experience of leading small teams
- Ability to self-manage and deal with competing time demands
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to work with senior team members and the client in demanding, deadline-driven situations
- Strong work ethic and integrity, and high level of professionalism
- This role may require travel to client and FTI offices
