Current Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a candidate at a Senior level to join our Melbourne Office.

SMB Advisory is a longstanding boutique accounting practice operating in the restructuring, turnaround and insolvency space. With offices located across Australia, SMB Advisory provides a range of advisory services and takes pride in ethical decision making.

We work in conjunction with lenders, business owners and their advisors to design and implement practical and effective solutions.

About the Role:

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of engagements, including but not limited to:

· business reconstructions

· corporate and personal insolvency

· business valuations

· forensic accounting and other advisory services.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be working towards or about to start their post graduate qualifications (Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant) with a minimum of two year's experience in the insolvency (corporate and personal) and restructuring industry.

Other key requirements include:

· Excellent analytical skills supported by an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and management accounting software programs;

· Strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be required to interact with clients, key stakeholders, creditors and regulatory bodies;

· Solid technical and proven investigative skills;

· Structured problem-solving skills;

· Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and workflow teams concurrently;

· Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills;

· Empathy, integrity and strong interpersonal qualities;

· Motivated, with strong worth ethic and flexibility to the challenges of working in a professional environment;

· Eligibility to live and work in Australia.
