**About us**

Transport for NSW keeps our State moving by providing safe, integrated and efficient transport systems. We put our customers at the centre of everything we do - and we do a lot. We connect people, communities and industry and manage how they use our road, rail and maritime networks and services, and even active modes like walking and cycling. The work we do connects the journeys you take every day.

We are a state government organisation made up of more than 28,000 people and we're in the middle of delivering the largest transport infrastructure program in Australia's history. We work across planning, policy and procurement, harnessing data and technology to develop smarter and more adaptive transport solutions.

That means job opportunities in metropolitan and regional areas right across NSW - you have the chance to be part of creating a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.

**About the team**

Our Freight Branch, part of the Regional and Outer Metropolitan Division, leads and coordinates the safe, productive and sustainable movement of goods in and through NSW.

The Freight Customer Engagement & Delivery Unit leads the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement plans and management of the stakeholder program of work, to ensure the identification and delivery of improved freight outcomes for industry, the supply chain and broader NSW community.

This team is also responsible for overseeing internal and external freight communications and pursuing a clear and credible freight narrative across TfNSW projects, articulating consistent messaging about the safety, productivity and sustainability benefits of integrating freight into transport planning, delivery and operations.

**The opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a Stakeholder Engagement Support Officer to work within a highly supportive and collaborative team that puts people first and customers at the centre.

In this role you will support the coordination and management of regular freight industry stakeholder forums by providing high quality secretariat services. You will also assist the team with developing and delivering stakeholder engagement plans to help drive better outcomes for industry, the supply chain and broader NSW community.

**What you will be involved in**

Contributing to the design and coordination of a range of meetings and forums and identifying ways to assist the implementation of the freight customer engagement framework.

Supporting the delivery of stakeholder engagement activities and initiatives, including organising meetings, workshops and events to time, cost and expectation of key stakeholders.

Following up and reporting on actions from stakeholder forums and assisting the team with identifying key issues for deeper engagement.

Managing approval processes for meetings and engagement materials.

Writing engagement summary reports and analysing data to demonstrate trends and patterns.

Entering stakeholder data, such as key issues and actions into the Branch Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and producing regular stakeholder forum reports.

**About you**

You have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or have equivalent experience.

You have an interest in stakeholder engagement and communications and have demonstrated experience in supporting and administering meetings with a vastly different array of stakeholders.

Crucial to your success in this role will be your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, keen eye for detail and a flair for coordination. You’re someone who ensures the success of key project milestones and can make decisions and take suitable action.

You’re proactive and use your initiative to get things done and resolve issues independently.

You are flexible, with the ability to adapt to a changing and sometimes uncertain environment. You have worked tight deadlines and have a successful track record in delivering great customer experience outcomes.
