The** People Health & Safety Partner **role is responsible for elevating and maintaining our WHS standards through consultation, guidance and strong process management. This is a **permanent, part-time** opportunity working **4 days per week** and the role requires the ability to lead and influence through strategic guidance, combined with a hands-on approach to deliver practical, real-time solutions for effective WHS management across WPP.
**As a People Health & Safety Partner, you will**:
- Promote and provide leadership to ensure a physically and psychologically safe working environment at WPP
- Develop and ensure the ongoing review of safety policies, procedures, systems and processes for effective and consistent implementation across the organisation
- Develop effective processes for regular monitoring and review in respect of safety and wellbeing
- Establish structured safety and wellbeing consultative mechanisms across the organisation and ensure compliance
- Review incidents and oversee investigations; identify learnings and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and implement training programs in conjunction with the People team and key stakeholders to build safety capability
- Lead COVID-19 changes in reference to public health orders or other Government mandates across AUNZ and communicate with the relevant stakeholders and impacted staff
- Manage the WHS management system for identifying and controlling safety risks and hazards
- Complete audits of our campuses and ensure controls are in place
- Maintain the registers for first aiders, fire wardens and mental health champions and ensure currency
- Provide operational guidance and technical expertise and support, including updates on trends and issues impacting health and safety in the workplace
- Manage workers compensation claims and return to work for all employees
- Report on people health and safety as part of due diligence and to meet any business compliance requirements
- Provide consultation to all WPP OpCos, working with HR Community

**About You**:
- Relevant qualification in Work Health & Safety or Human Resources or related
- Minimum 6 years' experience as a Safety Advisor, Consultant or Manager
- Experience interpreting WHS legislation across NSW, VIC, SA, WA and QLD; experience with NZ is preferred but not essential
- Prior experience auditing safety management systems and recommending and implementing changes
- Experience writing policies and procedures
- Experience completing safety audits
- Experience managing workers compensation claims and facilitating return to work
- Return to work coordinator accredited would be highly regarded
- Mental Health First Aid accredited would be highly regarded
